My second pregnancy dream came on the 4th of December, about one month before we found out we were going to have a baby. This dream was a little different, because it was the first time I ever dreamed in black and white... also, the end of the dream was animated and I've never watched cartoons in my sleep. [An interesting side note: my grandmother, Nina, asked me once if I had ever dreamed in black and white. I said no and thought that was the strangest thing because I'd always dreamed in color. She told me she always dreamed in black and white. Never really thought about that before. And now I can say I have. Love you Nina!]

In this dream, co-workers were asking if my supervisor was okay. Then, someone said, "No, it's Bailey." Next, I saw our receptionist running down the hallway of the mother/baby unit in our hospital looking for me. And she found me laying on one of those gyno examination tables. My supervisor was with me. (This next part is a little embarrassing, but I'll share anyway.) The receptionist said, "See, I told you when you're pregnant you have gas all around your belly." I could actually feel gas all around my belly while I was dreaming. (And I actually woke up after the dream with gas too.) Then the dream transitioned.

In the next part of the dream I was talking to my supervisor's supervisor. She exclaimed very excitedly, "Wait! I can show you! Come with me." Next thing I know she is ultrasounding my belly. She said, "See! There it is! There's your baby." I could see my baby growing inside of me. Next she said, "See, that's what happens when you're pregnant!" We were both very excited and started giggling. Then the dream transitioned again.

The next image I had was animated. I couldn't believe how cartoon-like the images were. I saw a bunch of black dots lined up single-file on a conveyor belt towards my right field of vision. The conveyor belt started moving the dots slowly to the left. A claw picked one dot up at a time and put each dot individually into a box that had white goo inside. Then the claw put each box back on the conveyor belt. As the box was placed back on the conveyor belt, the white goo surrounded the black dot and made an egg-shape around the black dot. Finally, these white eggs with black dots in the center were launched into the middle of a giant doughnut. And then, again, I heard my supervisor's supervisor say, "See, that's what happens when you are pregnant." I woke up with a smile on my face.

When I got to work that morning, I shared this dream with my boss. She told me to wait right where I was... that she would be right back. She brought me the first ultrasound of her first-born. The picture looked like a white egg with a tiny black dot in the middle!
